Last week-end we camped at Olema Ranch Campground, in Point Reyes National Park on the West Coast. We were there with members of our dojo for a special karate training called Gashuku*. As you might know, the US Government was still in a shutdown, and so, we couldn't access the Park :( Mister T and O did find a spot to kayak though, while A and I were doing our Gashuku in the morning. In the afternoon, we all went kayaking in Bolinas Bay.Read More
Those colors remind me of a few shots I took in Carlsbad. I have lots of pictures of peacocks in my collection, but on this one I love that we can see lots of the details. On this note, I'm wishing you a colorful week-end :)Read More
Hello everyone! I'm back with more pictures for my late :/ Wallpaper Friday! I hope you had a great winter break? The house was busy here...this is what happens to expats; unless no one can afford to travel, either you end up traveling or you have family and friends staying over for a while. Either way: you will be busy, happy but exhausted. Oh well. Can't have it all ;) Today's picture was inspired by something my mom shared on Facebook— a bike that has been locked to a tree in WWI. The picture shows the bike in 2013, embedded in the tree. It made me think of a photograph I took when I was on a trip with my husband and sons to visit Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.Read More
My parents are visiting for a few days and what rimes with holidays+mom in the house? Food!—including the classic tourtière (meat pie), a meal that we eat all year long but is traditional during the holidays. If you want to make my mom's recipe, see below it couldn't be more easier. Happy Holidays to all of you, I hope you'll have a wonderful time with the people you love. See you in 2013!Read More

Mon fils est revenu à la maison un jour de semaine avec un dessin qu'il avait fait à l'école. Le dessin était un arbre qu'il avait colorié et dessous était inscrit: "Strawberry Tree" (arbre à fraises).Read More
